Prof. Francisco Polidoro - McCombs School of Business | University of Texas
Prof. Polidoro holds a PhD in Strategy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA; a Diplôme Supérieur d’Etudes d’Etudes Françaises from Université de Nancy II, France, a Master of Business Administration from Henley Management College, England, a Post Graduate Diploma in General Management and Industrial Relations from Fundacao Getulio Varagas, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Undergraduate Studies in Computer Technology from the Aeronautical Institute of Technology in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil.
Professor Polidoro has been Associate Professor (with tenure) in the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin since 2013. He worked as Assistant Professor at that same institution between 2006 and 2013. He received his Ph.D. in Strategy from the University of Michigan, USA in 2001. Between 1988 and 2001 he worked at Mercedes-Benz and Daimler-Benz, in Brazil and in Germany. His research focuses on the cooperative and competitive strategies of technology-based firms.
His research has appeared in the most prestigious management journals, such as the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal. He currently serves as Deputy Editor and Senior Editor at Organization Science. He has served on the Editorial Review Boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.
His research has been distinguished with numerous awards, including the Best Paper Award and the Best Dissertation Award conferred by the Technology and Innovation Management Division of the Academy of Management, the Likert Award granted by the University of Michigan, and the Best Proposal Award accorded by the Cooperative Strategies Interest Group of the Strategic Management Society.

Prof. Murillo Campello - Johnson College of Business | Cornell University
Professor Campello earned his PhD in Finance from the University of Illinois in 2000, a MS in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in 1995, and a BS in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 1991.
Professor Campello is the Durland Professor of Finance at Cornell University. His papers have dealt with issues such as the impact of market imperfections on companies, the limits of the firm, product markets, corporate capital structure, monetary policy transmission, financial crises, econometrics, and more.
Campello has published extensively in leading finance journals and has served as an associate editor at The Review of Financial Studies, The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and The Journal of Corporate Finance. He is currently the managing editor of The Journal of Financial Intermediation. He received the “Rising Star” award in 2010 and has been named “Distinguished Referee” by The Review of Financial Studies twice for his referee work on behalf of the journal.
His papers were nominated twice for the distinguished Brattle Prize of the Journal of Finance, and received the Goldman Sachs Best Paper award by The Review of Finance.
