Every faculty member at FGV/EBAPE holds a doctorate, and all its members are acknowledged for their high level of academic excellence, with noteworthy participation in major congresses and research projects as well as publishing papers in international and Brazilian journals, while also coordinating projects that are benchmarks for technological and scientific output.
The program offers its students and professors exclusive subscriptions to 2 major databases: one at Harvard Business School (HBS) and the other at the Financial Times (FT). The former offers access to all materials produced by this publisher and other associated clearing houses (case studies, teaching notes, papers, simulations, online courses, chapters etc.) for professors and students. The latter provides digital access to the full content of this highly-respected international business newspaper, including case studies. The use of participant-centered active methods (case studies, simulations) is strongly encouraged by the School, particularly for Professional Master’s degrees.
The Professional Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) was the first stricto sensu graduate course in Public Administration in Brazil and Latin America to be accredited by the International Commission on Accreditation of Public Administration Education and Training (ICAPA). Subject to the rules established by the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) Board, this international acknowledgement is awarded to institutions with extremely high standard of excellence in public administration education and training.
Always attuned to new public administration challenges and steered by academic rigor, this program is also noteworthy for encouraging its students to pursue exchanges with teaching and research institutions that partner with the FGV/EBAPE through academic papers in periodicals in this field, as well as supporting attendance at international and Brazilian congresses.
