Senior Lecturer

He earned his Doctorate in Administration from Rennes School of Business (France) and holds a Master's in Administration from FGV EBAPE, as well as International Business from Georgetown University (USA). Furthermore, Augusto serves as a council member of the City of Rio de Janeiro Advisory Board and is the vice-chair of Kazimieras Simonavičius University (KSU) in Lithuania. 

Prior to joining FGV EBAPE, Augusto forged a successful career in prominent international consulting firms (Deloitte and KPMG), including a 12-year tenure as the leader of KPMG's Global Strategy Group in Brazil and Latin America. He also dedicated two years as a strategy consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank's (IDB) Cities Lab, focusing on social housing for the Brazilian Ministry of Economy. 

A seasoned expert in strategy, Augusto has collaborated with multicultural teams across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, providing support to large corporations, family businesses, investment funds, multilateral organizations, governments, and the nonprofit sector in addressing their most pressing challenges. 

At FGV EBAPE, Augusto conducts advanced research in the fields of strategy and the practical application of Niklas Luhmann's theories, particularly social systems theory, in management. His academic contributions have been published in reputable international and national scientific journals, including the Journal of Organizational Change Management (JOCM), Systems Research and Behavioral Science (SRBS), and the RAUSP Management Journal. Augusto is the co-author of the award-winning paper ' Multifunctional cabinet portfolio analysis of 201 national governments,' which received the Emerald Literati Award in 2020. 

In addition to his academic and consulting roles, Augusto actively participates in various impact initiatives, mentoring entrepreneurs and investing in early-stage startups.
