Alexandre de Ávila Gomide
Since 1997, he has been a tenured researcher at the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA), where he has occupied various positions, including three times as director (twice as director of State, Institutions, and Democracy Studies, and once as director of Cooperation and Development). He was also the academic coordinator of the Professional Master's Program in Public Policies and Development at IPEA. He has had experiences in management and leadership positions in subnational governments and the federal government, serving as Director of Regulation and Management at the Ministry of Cities and Director of Urban Mobility Programs for the PAC at the Ministry of Planning and Management. He is the Director of Advanced Studies at the National School of Public Administration (ENAP). He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Revista do Serviço Publico and an associated researcher at the National Institute of Policy, Strategy, and Development (PPED) and the National Institute of Quality of Government (QualiGov). His research has been published in prestigious scientific journals, such as DADOS Revista de Ciências Sociais, Governance, International Review of Administrative Sciences, Organizações & Sociedade, Public Utilities, Revista de Administração Pública, and Revista de Sociologia e Política. Additionally, he has organized several books and authored chapters.
