On June 21, Professor Ricardo Lopes Cardoso, researcher at FGV EBAPE and coordinator of the school’s academic program, participated in a debate session with Marcelo Barbosa, president of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). They discussed OECD’s report Sustainability Policies and Practices for Corporate Governance in Brazil, during an event at the Museu do Amanhã (Museum of Tomorrow), in Rio de Janeiro.
The event gathered representatives of public authorities, such as the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, and specialists in public policy, sustainability, and corporate governance.
During the meeting, the main conclusions of the OECD report were presented, as well as perspectives on how Brazil and the United Kingdom have regulated sustainability issues and the goals of the new International Sustainability Standards Board.
