Handbook of Research Methods in Consumer Psychology highlights FGV EBAPE research on low-income consumer behavior
FGV EBAPE’s methodological rigor in studies on consumer behavior - recognized with international awards - has gained prominence in one of the most important publications in the world on methods of consumer research: the Handbook of Research Methods in Consumer Psychology.
The Handbook emphasized the importance of investing in new ways of conducting research, such as the one implemented by FGV EBAPE, which created a laboratory of behavioral studies in Complexo da Maré favela community, located in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, from a study conducted by the researchers Jorge Jacob, Yan Vieites, Rafael Goldzsmidt and Eduardo Andrade. . The initiative aims to obtain more socially relevant results on consumers with low purchasing power.
Program in Administration offers methodological and conceptual training equivalent to those offered by similar programs worldwide, at the same time giving access to specific knowledge and contexts of the Brazilian reality. The program emphasizes research production and dissemination through publications in leading journals in administration and related fields. The MSc is taught entirely in English. Therefore, students must be able to read, write, understand, and speak the language.
FGV EBAPE’s PhD Program in Administration prepares students for the academic life of a research professor at a university or higher education institution in Brazil and abroad. The program requires students to read, write, understand, and speak English. The PhD concept paper, the dissertation project, and the final dissertation must be prepared in English unless the supervisor and student agree differently.
