FGV EBAPE was reaccredited by the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS-EFMD), one of the most important certifications for academic and research institutions in administration in the world. The school has maintained the accreditation since 2014, which confirms its commitment to maintaining the international quality standard of its programs, faculty, and infrastructure.
FGV EBAPE director Flavio de Vasconcelos points out “we are very proud to receive the reaccreditation of EQUIS-EFMD, which reinforces the excellence of FGV EBAPE among the best business schools in the world, both in terms of research and faculty and to students and staff. This achievement certainly strengthens us nationally and internationally as a school that makes a difference in people’s lives and society.”
On a visit to the headquarters of FGV EBAPE in April, the Peer Review Teams of EQUIS EFMD participated in a series of meetings with the school’s management, directors, coordinators, professors, alumni, and representatives of partner institutions. During the meetings, the committee evaluated the school’s advances in its academic programs.
According to the accreditation coordinator, Professor Yuna Fontoura, “reaccreditation results from FGV EBAPE’s collective hard work to remain among the best business schools in the world. We were very happy with this achievement, and I hope to share this joy and pride with all the faculty and other employees, especially with the students and alumni. This school belongs to them!”
In addition to accreditation from the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS-EFMD), one of the most important certifications in the academic world, FGV EBAPE maintains the ICAPA (International Commission on Accreditation of Public Administration Education) accreditation for institutions with very high standards of excellence for Education and Public Administration Training; and AACSB International, the largest American accreditor for business schools.
