FGV EBAPE Emeritus Professor Paulo Roberto de Mendonça Motta was recently honored by the Latin American Group for Public Administration (LAGPA), a regional branch of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), with a nomination for the prestigious International Administrative Merit Medal. This award is bestowed by Mexico's National Institute of Public Administration (INAP) upon individuals who have made significant contributions to the development and advancement of public administration.
Established in 2011, the International Administrative Merit Medal has, to date, recognized only six distinguished figures worldwide. Professor Paulo Motta is now the seventh recipient of this highly regarded honor. The award ceremony took place on October 22, 2024, in Mexico City, as part of the LAGPA Conference held at INAP. The event brought together public administration leaders and scholars from across Latin America to discuss the theme "New Perspectives and Challenges of Democracy and Governance in Latin America."
