On Friday, April 11, the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) released the Quality Indicators of Higher Education for the year 2023. Once again, FGV EBAPE stood out by achieving the highest continuous General Course Index (IGC) in Brazil, consolidating its national leadership and reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence.
The score obtained represents the highest in the historical series of the IGC since the indicator was created, reinforcing FGV EBAPE’s position as the top higher education institution in the country. In addition, the School maintains the highest rating in all evaluations conducted by the MEC — both at the institutional level and across undergraduate programs and stricto sensu graduate programs.
These results reflect a consistent and aligned effort built over recent years, involving the strategic work of the administration, the excellence of the faculty, the dedication of technical and administrative teams, as well as the engagement of students and the successful trajectory of alumni. This recognition reinforces the School’s commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence in education, with impact both in Brazil and on the international stage.
FGV EBAPE also congratulates the other Schools of Fundação Getulio Vargas for their outstanding performance in the 2023 IGC. Special recognition goes to FGV EPGE, which ranked 2nd, and FGV CPDOC, which ranked 3rd, along with other FGV units that also achieved the highest rating in the indicator. Together, these achievements highlight FGV’s ongoing commitment to quality and leadership in Brazilian higher education.
