Last Wednesday (December 4), FGV EBAPE hosted a meeting with Professor Márcio Machado, Coordinator for the Administration, Accounting, and Tourism Area at CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel), to discuss anticipated changes for the upcoming 2029 Quadriennial Evaluation.
Organized by the Academic Vice Director of FGV EBAPE, Professor Alketa Peci, the event brought together coordinators of postgraduate programs from various institutions in Rio de Janeiro. The main objective was to foster closer collaboration between regional postgraduate programs and CAPES, as well as to promote discussions aimed at improving evaluation criteria. The meeting also provided a platform for clarifying doubts and aligning expectations about the evaluation process, which plays a strategic role in the qualification and recognition of postgraduate programs nationally and internationally.
During the event, Professor Márcio Machado emphasized the importance of a rigorous evaluation system that meets the demands of both teaching and research. Key topics included the evolution of academic and social impact criteria and the challenges faced in scientific production within the field.
This initiative highlights FGV EBAPE's commitment to advancing higher education in Brazil by connecting academic leaders and fostering discussions that shape the future of postgraduate programs.
