Internationalization

Internationalization

A global school of public and business administration in Latin America

Open doors to the world for students and professors

FGV EBAPE has over 50 active agreements with institutions in Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas (South, Central, and North), which are vital to the school’s internationalization policy.

Academic collaborations happen in different ways: development of student exchange agreements, visiting scholars, collaborative research projects; short-term international modules for students pursuing professional master’s degrees; and programs that grant double degrees.

International opportunities

Exchange programs

FGV EBAPE’s exchange programs are designed for students willing to have an international learning experience. They offer an opportunity to study abroad without extra tuition fees – the student pays only the regular tuition fees to FGV, with no additional payments to foreign educational institutions.

At the undergraduate level, requests to validate the courses the student will attend abroad during the exchange programs must be sent to the Head of the Bachelor of Science in Administration (BSc) for approval before leaving the country. FGV EBAPE will validate courses for exchange programs lasting one year (maximum). The student can attend courses during exchange abroad in up to two different institutions.

The costs regarding visa, airfare, housing, food, international health insurance, and personal expenses are the student’s responsibility.

AT THE UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL

IBEA

The International Business Education Alliance – IBEA is an undergraduate program created to form global citizens.

It is a unique program carried out by four internationally recognized business schools – FGV EBAPE, the University of Mannheim Business School (Germany), the University of South Carolina - Darla Moore School of Business (United States), and the ESSEC Business School (Singapore). After completing the first two years of the BSc in Administration at FGV EBAPE, the student can attend each of the remaining academic semesters in a different continent. Therefore, the student can experience the theory and practice of management learning in different countries and cultures.

Each host institution offers specific courses, cultural courses, and professional immersion. The IBEA international cohort is made up of 10 students from four partner schools, which makes up a class of 40 global students, strengthening relationships and students’ international network.

In addition to strong local and regional exposure, students gain hands-on experience in global management by working closely with each school’s partner organizations. Thus, participating students can build a strong global network that will contribute to their professional future.
