Experience
Yan Vieites is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at FGV EBAPE, where he also acts as the coordinator of the Center for Behavioral Research (CBR). His primary research interest is consumer psychology, with special emphasis on the behavioral consequences of poverty. His projects cover a broad range of areas such as charitable donations, sustainable behavior, dietary choices, and financial decision-making. He has been granted awards by the Association for Consumer Research (ACR Public-Purpose Dissertation Award), the Society for Consumer Psychology (Best Paper in the Theme Consumer Relevance Beyond Marketing), and the American Marketing Association (Brenda M. Derby Memorial Award), the three major associations in consumer research. His work has been published in leading Marketing and Psychology journals such as Journal of Consumers Research and Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied.
