Experience

Professor Polidoro has been Associate Professor (with tenure) in the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin since 2013. He worked as Assistant Professor at that same institution between 2006 and 2013. He received his Ph.D. in Strategy from the University of Michigan, USA in 2001. Between 1988 and 2001 he worked at Mercedes-Benz and Daimler-Benz, in Brazil and in Germany. His research focuses on the cooperative and competitive strategies of technology-based firms.

His research has appeared in the most prestigious management journals, such as the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal. He currently serves as Deputy Editor and Senior Editor at Organization Science. He has served on the Editorial Review Boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.

His research has been distinguished with numerous awards, including the Best Paper Award and the Best Dissertation Award conferred by the Technology and Innovation Management Division of the Academy of Management, the Likert Award granted by the University of Michigan, and the Best Proposal Award accorded by the Cooperative Strategies Interest Group of the Strategic Management Society.
