Educational Background

Prof. Andrade holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA; a Master’s in Marketing from the École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), Montréal, Canada, and a BBA from Santa Catarina Federal University, Florianópolis, Brazil.


Prof. Andrade is a Full Professor and the Vice-Dean of FGV EBAPE, where he has acted as the Academic Program Coordinator for the PhD in Administration. Before joining FGV, he was an Assistant Professor and later an Associate Professor (with tenure) at the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, USA. Prof Andrade has been granted the Early Career Award 2011 offered by the Association for Consumer Research, and the Outstanding Reviewer Award 2011 offered by the Journal of Consumer Research. He is also one of the Young Scholars of the Marketing Science Institute and a Scholar with the Center for Advanced Studies in Behavioral Sciences at the University of Stanford.
