About the event

Graduate Seminars promote the debate of high-quality research in management and public administration. Researchers present a working paper or a recently published article, discussing the topic with participants: faculty members, PhD and MSc students.

Current Head of the Professional Master's in Public Administration (MAP) . Her research interests relate with the study of bureaucracy and its major transformations, focusing on autonomous bureaucracies as Independent Regulatory Agencies (IRAs)  and Audit Offices; on bureaucratic representation; public-private/nonprofit partnerships, and the adoption of better regulation reforms.

He was also Visiting Fellow in the Foreign Policy and Global Economy andDevelopment programs in the Latin American Initiative at Brookings Institution,Washington-DC; and Resident Fellow do Bellagio Center at Rockefeller Foundation, Itália.

Cesar Zucco

Prof Cesar Zucco joined the FGV faculty in July 2013. He was a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey (2011–2013) and has held visiting appointments at Princeton, Yale, Oxford, and at The Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars.

Associate Professor, Brazilian Public and Business Administration School, Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV EBAPE). She was previously a Professor of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Princeton and an Associate Fellow with the Princeton Program in Latin American Studies, run by the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics and the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance. She also worked as an Associate Professor for the Joint Program in Social Policy.

Prof Robert Gregory Michener is a Canadian citizen and Brazilian permanent resident. Michener’s research and writing focus on the politics, policy, measurement, and conceptualization of transparency, freedom of information (particularly in Latin America), and open data, as well as aspects of anti-corruption, accountability, and impunity. Michener helped draw international attention to the Brazilian campaign for a freedom of information law. At the FGV, he founded and leads the Program for Public Transparency (PTP-FGV).
