Rodrigo Dias is a PhD candidate in marketing at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He studies questions at the intersection of marketing, monetary resources, and consumption. Within this umbrella, his research falls into two streams. In the first, he examines how financial constraints drive consumers’ judgments, decisions, and behaviors. In the second, he examines consumers’ inferences about monetary resources, and how these inferences subsequently shape their decision making and behavior.
Rodrigo is the recipient of the 2023 AMA Rising Star Award and the 2023 AMA Mathew Joseph Emerging Scholar Award. Rodrigo’s dissertation work has been recognized with the 2023 JCR Ferber Award, an honorable mention for the 2023 MSI Alden G. Clayton Dissertation Proposal Competition, and as a finalist for the Best Competitive Paper Award at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Society for Consumer Psychology. His work has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and Marketing Letters.
