Associate Professor of Marketing at the School of Management in Paris

I am an Associate Professor of Marketing at the School of Management in Paris-France. I was a post-doctoral researcher in a joint-appointment at the Department of Psychology at Columbia University and the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. I earned my Ph.D. in Business (Behavioral Science) at the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV EBAPE), with a visiting appointment at Columbia University.

My research is in consumer psychology, focusing substantively on understanding how stigmas and stereotypes influence individuals’ decisions, perceptions, and relationships with others. Most of my research questions arise from two major sources: a decade of marketing industry experience and observations of intergroup dynamics in Brazil, France, and the United States. Being from a developing country, I have explored patterns of behavior among relevant understudied samples and documented cultural differences.
