Who is the program for?
The Executive Master in Business Administration (MEX) was designed for executives and leaders with relevant professional backgrounds in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors who wish to establish a professional trajectory of excellence.
With cutting-edge knowledge immediately applicable in their organizations, MEX students can lead the most complex business challenges. The program’s graduates can also carry out consulting and teaching activities, being able to teach at important higher education institutions and acquiring global prominence in their areas of expertise.
What to expect?
MEX’s curricular structure combines theory and practice, balancing scientific knowledge with solving real problems. The program develops entrepreneurial skills, deepens critical thinking, and expands students’ business vision, providing tools for them to take on leadership positions in various segments.
The program is carried out part-time and does not require exclusive dedication. Therefore, students can combine academic activities and a professional career.

With face-to-face classes at the headquarters of FGV EBAPE, in Botafogo, the program starts in February with classes taking place between 6:30 pm and 9:45 pm.
All students must take two courses per academic quarter, so they attend classes at least twice a week.

The Executive Master in Public Administration allows students to take equivalent courses in partner institutions abroad, which is a rich learning opportunity that can be pursued in two ways:
International Module
MEX’s curriculum includes an international module that counts as an elective course. Students can have a short-term experience (one week) at one of FGV EBAPE’s partner schools worldwide. These partners offer programs aligned with MEX’s educational proposition, allowing an experience that complements the students’ training and builds a global vision of business management.
International Exchange Programs
FGV EBAPE provides longer international experiences, lasting more than three months, in its International Exchange Program.
Students pay the regular tuition fees in Brazil and can study abroad without additional fees or extra expenses related to tuition.

Students and professors can access content and case studies from the Harvard Business School (HBS). They have the right to a digital subscription to the Financial Times (FT) platform, with access to the research area and complete content on business, careers, news, and sustainability.
Teaching Training
Stricto-sensu qualification
MEX is a stricto sensu graduate program, subject to periodic evaluation by CAPES. The program offers students the opportunity to pursue an academic career in the field of administration, preparing them to teach at major universities around the world and at FGV itself.
Course preparing for a teaching career
The course “Teaching Strategy” offers complete and rich training. It enables students to teach by analyzing concepts, theories, case studies, practices, and reflections on their professional experience.
Tutoring: integration between MEX and FGV EBAPE’s BSc in Adminsitration Integrated undergraduate Tutoring
In this initiative, MEX students act as tutors for undergraduate students in the General Theory of Administration course and have the opportunity to consolidate their practical teaching skills.

Intergration and Networking
In addition to the interaction provided within the MEX classrooms, students can take courses in other FGV EBAPE master’s degree programs, up to a limit of three elective courses.
Such integration and networking have produced national and international alliances among FGV EBAPE graduate students, building solid partnerships between public agency managers, for example, and leading to valuable experience exchanges.
Multicultural experience
MEX strengthens and increases student and faculty cultural exchange, allowing students to obtain a broad multicultural experience of academic and extracurricular activities at the national and international levels.
