RAP & YOUNG RESEARCHERS WORKSHOP

Overseas influences on the development and recent innovations on public sector accounting and finance in Latin America

This workshop aims to contribute to researchers interested in studying public sector accounting and finance and, moreover, interested in submitting papers to the RAP call for papers on the “Overseas influences on the development and recent innovations on public sector accounting and finance in Latin America”. Therefore, this RAP & Young Researchers Workshop aims to build a bridge between International and Latin-American scholars interested in researching evidence about and providing critical analysis of international influences in public sector accounting and finance in LA countries. The workshop is organized in two days. On the first day (November 9th), we will have a web focus group with practitioners from Latin-American countries that have experienced the implementation of IPSAS at different levels, a speech from a Brazilian practitioner on the same issue, and a series of lectures presented by leading researchers in the field. The second day (November 10th), is dedicated to the debate of working papers and research projects whose authors are developing to submit to the RAP call for papers until April 6th, 2018.
