For the third year in row, FGV/EBAPE has been proclaimed the best business administration school in brazil
Once again, the FGV tops the national ranking of Brazil’s best schools. For the third year in a row, the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV / EBAPE) has been ranked as the best Business Administration School in Brazil, and is listed in the top three of post-secondary education institutions, in addition to the FGV Schools of Economics in São Paulo (EESP) and Rio de Janeiro (EPGE), based on data from the IGC (General Course Index), released on December 18, 2015, by the Ministry of Education (MEC). The FGV/EBAPE is among a select group of schools that achieved the highest score of 5 (five), and is ranked 3rd as one of the best post-secondary institutions in the country.
School director, professor Flavio Vasconcelos, states that these results reflect a team effort: "Our repeated success reflects the team’s strategic efforts on behalf of all students, teachers, technical and administrative staff, and managers of the EBAPE. The focus is always on providing quality teaching and research. This stems from the overall mission of EBAPE and FGV, which strives to contribute to the economic and social development of Brazil."
The IGC (General Course Indicator) is a quality indicator that evaluates post-secondary education institutions and grades colleges, university centers and universities, assessing undergraduate and graduate courses (Master’s and PhD). The scores are calculated in the year following the ENADE assessment in each area, and includes an evaluation of student performance, teaching staff, infrastructure, didactic and pedagogical resources and other tools, based on the CONAES (the Commission for the Evaluation of Higher Education) guidelines.
