FGV accepting applications for the 2017 entrance examination
From July 4 onwards, the Getulio Vargas Foundation is accepting applications for the 2017 Entrance Examination for the first semester of next year, with 680 places divided between the Schools in Rio de Janeiro (Administration, Social Sciences, Law, Economics and Applied Mathematics) and São Paulo (Public Administration, Business Administration, Law and Economics)
In Rio de Janeiro, applications are accepted through to September 26, with tests on October 16. In São Paulo, candidates must sign up by October 13, with tests for the various Schools scheduled between November 20 and December 16. The Entrance Examination selection process is endowed with special conditions up to September 2, with the test venues announced through the Vestibular FGV website.
Candidates will be selected through their ranking in the Entrance Examinations or their scores in the National Secondary Education Examination (ENEM). Candidates wishing to apply through both these entry options must sign up for both procedures. There will also be a selection process for international candidates.
In Rio de Janeiro, the FGV offers 80 places for Administration (40 through the Entrance Examination and 40 through the ENEM); 100 for Economics (70 through the Entrance Examination and 30 through the ENEM); 50 for Social Sciences (40 through the Entrance Examination and 10 through the ENEM); 50 for Law (40 through the Entrance Examination and 10 through the ENEM); and 30 for Applied Mathematics (24 through the Entrance Examination and 6 through the ENEM).
In São Paulo, there are 50 places for Public Administration (48 through the ENEM and 2 through the International Selection Process); 200 Business Administration (98 through the Entrance Examination, 98 through the ENEM and 4 through the International Selection Process); 60 for Economics (55 through the Entrance Examination and 5 through the International Baccalaureate Diploma); and 60 for Law, all through the Entrance Examination.
Candidates who have completed or are completing their secondary education in government schools in Brazil or who have received full scholarships at private schools throughout their secondary education may request exemption from the registration fee. In Rio de Janeiro, the deadline is September 19, and October 7 in São Paulo.
