Double Degree Programs are institutional partnerships through which students earn two undergraduate or graduate degrees with dual recognition: one from the home institution and the other from the partner institution. This type of program offers students a competitive edge when training for professional careers, while upgrading their resumés, as they become specialists in more than one topic in a short space of time. At the moment, FGV/EBAPE is cooperating with two of its partner institutions that offer double degree programs: at Bachelor’s level with the ESSEC Business School in Cergy-Pontoise, near Paris, France; and one at Master’s level with the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics in Lisbon.
DOUBLE DEGREE AT ESSEC
The ESSEC-FGV/EBAPE Double Degree agreement allows students from the two partner institutions to obtain both ESSEC’s Diplôme de l’EPSCI and FGV/EBAPE’s Bacharel em Administração degrees. Both degrees are four-year programs, with students successfully completing a year at the host school allowed to validate the courses completed abroad at their home institution. Thus, by the end of the studies, internship and coursework period, students will graduate with two acknowledged Bachelor’s (or equivalent) degrees: one from the home institution and another from the host institution.
DOUBLE DEGREE AT CATÓLICA LISBON
The Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics (CLSBE) and FGV/EBAPE Double Degree program offers students a great opportunity to expand their cultural and international exposure through living and studying in two of the world’s most amazing cities: Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro. By means of an agreement between FGV/EBAPE and CLSBE, Master’s students from all over the world spend three trimesters studying in Lisbon and three more in Rio de Janeiro, earning Master’s Degrees from both institutions. This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking an international immersion, since this type of experience is much appreciated by recruiters, therefore the chances for a successful international career increase significantly.
