The Double Degree Program is based on an institutional partnership through which students earn two undergraduate or graduate degrees with dual recognition: once from the home institution and the other at the host institution. This type of program endows students with comparative advantages when training for professional careers, while upgrading their resumés, as they become specialists in more than one topic during a brief period. At the moment, the FGV/EBAPE is cooperating with two of its partner institutions that offer double degree programs: a Bachelor’s at the ESSEC Business School in Cergy-Pontoise, near Paris, France; and a Master’s at the renowned Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics in Lisbon.
DOUBLE DEGREE AT ESSEC
The double degree agreement between ESSEC and the FGV/EBAPE allows the Brazilian Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) offered by the FGV/EBAPE to be conferred on selected ESSEC students, with the corresponding French degree awarded to selected FGV/EBAPE students. Both degrees are four-year programs, with students successfully completing a year at the host school allowed to validate the courses completed abroad at their home institution. Thus, by the end of the studies, internship and coursework period, students graduate with two acknowledged Bachelor’s (or equivalent) degrees: one from the home institution and another from the host institution.
DOUBLE DEGREE AT CATÓLICA LISBON
As it is the Portuguese Catholic University Business School, the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics (CLSBE) offers a great opportunity to expand the cultural and international exposure of students through living and studying in two of the world’s most amazing cities: Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro. Through an agreement between the FGV/EBAPE and the CLSBE, Master’s students from all over the world spend three trimesters studying in Lisbon and three more in Rio de Janeiro, earning Master’s Degrees from both institutions. This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking international immersion, with this type of experience much appreciated by recruiters, thus opening up the chances for a successful international career.
